Badges (Achievements)

Badges in Pokémon Go refer to achievements that can be earned by a player for meeting certain goals/milestones. Some examples of these achievements include capturing a required number of Pokémon or winning a certain number of battles or even walking a certain total distance. There are many different Badges to earn in Pokémon Go.

Earned Badges and requirements for unearned badges are displayed in the Trainer's profile.

The following chart contains the Badges (Achievements) and requirements needed to acquire each one. Some can be achieved by traveling and capturing Pokemon, while others can be earned by Battling at Gyms.

Battles Won as Challenger	Gym	Awarded for winning a required number of battles at enemy Gyms.
Battles Won as Defender	Gym	Awarded for successfully defending Gyms against enemy Pokémon a required number of times.
Distance Traveled	Wild	Awarded for traveling a certain distance.
Pokéballs Thrown	Wild	Awarded for throwing a required number of Pokéballs.
Pokémon Assigned	Gym	Awarded for deploying a required number of Pokémon at friendly Gyms.
Pokémon Captured (By Type)	Wild	Awarded for capturing a required number of Pokémon of a certain Type (Eg. Fire, Water, Grass)
Pokémon Encountered	Wild	Awarded for Encountering a required number of Wild Pokémon.
Pokémon Evolved	Main Menu	Awarded for Evolving a required number of Pokémon.
Pokémon Hatched	Wild	Awarded for Hatching a required number of Eggs.
Prestige Decreased Through Battles	Gym	Awarded for reducing a required amount of Prestige by Battling at enemy Gyms.
Prestige Gained Through Training	Gym	Awarded for earning a required amount of Prestige by Training at friendly Gyms.
Total Pokéstops	Wild	Awarded for visiting a required number of Pokéstops.
Training Battles Won	Gym	Awarded for winning a required number of battles at friendly Gyms.
Unique Pokéstops	Wild	Awarded for visiting a required number of different Pokéstops.
